Wait till late May for the best fishing. Water still pretty cold. I live about 20min from it and fish it all the time. Burbot fishing was outstanding this winter also. I would est I landed well over 100 this winter (released almost all)

Very cool! I can't wait to get the boat up there! I'll bet it's full up this year!

Easy to catch. Take some sucker meat strips and a jig and head over to the face of the dam. Early morning or late evening are best if you don't want to night fish but they can be caught any time of day. I like a white glow jig but I don't even think that is very important as the bite is pretty simple to get. [signature]

Suckers, sure. They are spawning right now so any back eddy on the snake with a mud and sand bottom will have them right now.

That's what I thought...I hear that it can be a little creepy taking they off your hook...that they like to wrap them selves oround your arm like a snake...I hear that they make for some good eating...that they taste like lobster....I could good for some of that.

Be sure to cut around the tail to bleed them out.

Any other pointers on fileting/prepping them? Hope it's an issue next week. Have you caught any with any size?

Ash AKA fishley in post 21 of 24 gives you the best method. Skin them first as he shows. He is the Ling King!
