Willard??
#1
Well put and to bring things back to fishing as is really why the majority of us are on here, I am going to get crazy and hit Willard tomorrow. If it wasn't for my brother needing a well deserved mind clearing trip I would not bother after this cold-front. That said any suggestions for invoking some frisky into what I beleive are going to be lethargic fishies?

fished it thursday evening, conditions were windy and cold. Launched out of the s marina and within 15 min had first fish to the boat, a cookie cutter on a wally diver. things slowed down and not many fish were marked. We trolled from the south marina past freeway bay then headed back, on the way back we picked up a wee wally male on a bottom bouncer, and at dark i lost something on my shad rap. There were a few boats out but the weather was crappy! good luck tomorrow

[cool][#0000ff]I always prefer to fish after a couple of days of decent weather. Not just a fair weather fisherman but it gives the fish a chance to settle down after fronts go through.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]But this year that is a rare condition... more than one day in a row of nice weather. The good news is that the fish are just as impatient as fishermen and they will bite if you find them. So go for it.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]North marina reports have been better than south marina. Still a lot of cold muddy water coming in the inlet. Try inside the marina for crappies and maybe a wiper. Hit the north dike for all species. You will do better fishing plastics or slow running diving cranks right now. Save the mach 10 trolling for when the water is warmer.[/#0000ff]

Good information as we have all come accustomed to from you. Thanks, I'll report on what works tomorrow and hopefully not a whole lot on what didn't work [Wink].

Great info, thanks. I just tied up all my poles for tomorrow and there is a wally diver in the mix. If you wouldn't mind sending me a PM on the color I would appreciate it. We could compare notes on the colors that I had succes on last Saturday up there.
