I did the survey a couple months ago and printed out my paper for the year. Nowhere during the process does it state that you must have a copy in your vehicle and your boat (if I remember correctly), only your tow vehicle. I've had a couple buddies tell me different and just read it on BFT as well but I couldn't find anything that says you must have it in both. It's no big deal if I do, just looking for clarification if somebody can provide it.

I just did mine this past weekend, on the certificate that I printed off just below where I signed there is a paragraph beginning with Note to participant ( in red) it states to print off two copies, one for your tow vehicle and one for your boat. I had to go back a second time and print off my second one, luckily there are instructions on how to do that.

That's good enough, I guess I got complacent. Thanks Laroo.

Last year, the DWR officer at the Jordanelle boat ramp told us that we needed one for our boat and one for our truck...

Glad I could help. If I wouldn't have read the fine print before signing it I would be in the same boat, so to speak. I did go through a moment of panic, thinking that I would need to go through the whole process again.

I am a little ignorant to this topic. What are you talking about printing off? Is it not enough to fill out the forms at the launch?

You can fill out the forms at the launch everytime you launch or, go through the process on the computer and get one for the entire year and not have to fill ione out the rest of the year.

Ah - bliss.
Yup - stuff you gotta worry about now that YOU have a boat! Check up on the safety requirements too. Don't want to get stuck up the creek without a paddle, or out after dark w/o a light (or bug spray!).
You have to take an exam online, and get 100% (they let you go back to questions missed)

Warming up - more folks breaking out the boats. I think there's some kitties waiting for me! Got a get a head start on the competition with the lunker and lava! I ain't getting stuck eating the carp!
