Hello all! Been hoping to get out on SC this wknd if there's any ice off. Has anyone seen the conditions there lately? Any word is helpful, especially with the damn gas prices anymore.
Thank you!

I just drove past on the way to the farm this last weekend and there wasn't hardly any open water...maybe a 15 sq ft area by the road. Edges are gettin' soft though!

Drove by today and there were guys icefishing on the bay right by the turnoff. The plow was out plowing the road to the damn though.

Plowing the road to the dam? This is great news! I didn't think they ever bothered with that. Thanks for the info.

They (Central Water Conservency District) had to do the same thing up at Currant Creek a week ago. Had to get over there to manage the flow rates at the dam. I am betting it is the same for the Soldier Creek dam. Hope it's a cooker tomorrow. We need the snow melt to get that ice off started.
