Wow that crappie is a hog and your wiper adventures make me want to spend more money than I should on a downrigger... Nice haul guys.. I talked a sunfish into biting about dark and it was fun to feel a tug.. Guess I can't figure out how to attach a picture from this phone it won't let me browse for it.. But it's just a guppy compared to your haul..

Thanks for sharing. You guys seem to have the
Willard fish dialed in pretty good. Did you catch the crappie trolling, and was it in the downrigger as well?
I go two new electrics this spring I'm dying to take over there. Hopefully one day I can dial in their number as well.

[cool][#0000ff]Good meeting you on the ramp. Glad you guys found some fish to play with. Better than anybody else I talked to. It pays to put in the time to learn that lake, to have good gear and know how to use it. A good combination of science and art.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]I would have tagged along with you guys but my "big motor" was kinda balky. Wouldn't get me up on plane. And my downriggers kept tangling up in my fins. Some things just don't work well on a float tube.[/#0000ff]

Nice haul! Ah...seeing those wipers makes me want to forget getting skunked numerous times last year! What did you catch the wipers on if you don't mind my asking?

Pat it was a pleasure meeting you and your wife from a far, I noticed that a downrigger is about the only fishing item you have not put on your tube YET
Most of the wipers came on a blue and orange belly crank bait we caught most of are fish 5 feet of bottom and yes we caught the crappies on the crank baits also the walleye was picked up on a fire tiger walleye diver 15 feet down 20 feet of water, The moor we fish the bay the moor we learn, And over the years we have practiced the three P.P.P. Patience, persistence and practice
