Got back to some crappie fishing today and caught some nice ones around Patten Island in Harrison Bay and it turned out to be a nice multi-species trip for the day. We didn't get in the water until about 9:30 am and fished until 2:00. We caught 11 "keeper" crappie - 2 drum - 2 channel cats - a few bream, and a perch. Most of the crappie were caught in about 12 feet of water. Water temperature was 68-70 degrees. Debbie caught a nice channel cat and a good size drum on 4lb. test line while I caught a couple of the bigger crappie. She's getting pretty good at getting some good size fish in the boat on light line. I'm getting better at netting her fish emoLaugh.
