Put in at WC at 9:30. Cool with a brisk wind made me break out the big coat. Ran upriver fishing docks,<br />struck out on the first few. Caught 13 keepers on a dock, started using 1/32 oz. jigs but with the wind it<br />wasn&#39;t getting a good drop. I went to a 1/24 oz. jig. The only one I had made up in Ghastly Minnow was<br />a BG Scent Wiggler. I caught 2 crappie on the next 2 casts. Around lunch the wind slowed down and it<br />warmed up nicely. I was catching 1or 2 crappie every stop. I caught crappie in depths of 6-18 fow, but <br />they consistently were hitting on a 3-6 count on a slow retrieve. Caught plenty of 12-13 in. crappie, and a<br />few almost 14. Ran back to WT creek later in the day, I caught 1 keeper and several smalls there, so I ran <br />back to the main lake. I found a hot dock after some searching, and I smoked crappie for about an hour<br />catching around 20 keepers including some plump females. A good day with action almost everywhere,<br />and weather was good. I ended with 79 keeper crappie, gave a friend some and released the rest.<br /><br />
