Anyone wanna go fishing
#1
Hello folks,

I am thinking of going out on my next day off, which is next Friday. I work late the night before so I won't be getting up too early, but if anyone wants to go with me drop me a pm. I will be bringing my fly rod, but I have no problems with anyone fishing any way they want to as long as it's legal. Smile Be warned... I have hooked myself several times over the years fly fishing so there may be a hint of danger.

I was thinking of going to Eagle Valley, but my schedule got changed and I won't be driving that far. I will probably launch out of Echo and see how it goes.

If you are going all the way to Echo, Eagle Valley is only 10 miles up the road. You can take the road from Echo Canyon that will put you back on the road and about 2.5 miles to Eagle Valley. In fact, Rose Valley is beautiful country on that scenic drive.

NDOW stocked Eagle Valley with 13,000 trout about 3 weeks ago. I had planned on going to those areas this week but with upcoming bills, I didn't think I had the money for gas, camping and food. When I go that distance, I like camp for a few days to make it worth the gas.. But I have done it in one day if that's your plan. I'll even bring my fly rod and you can show me how to use it Smile.

But if I can share gas with someone, its doable. So I'd like to go with you if possible. I usually fish from a kayak, but shore fishing these areas is fine with me.

Hello folks,

Gnelson651 I am very sorry for the misunderstanding. I am going to fish Mead on Friday and launch at Echo Bay. I meant to state that I had wanted to go to Eagle Valley but my schedule changed and I'll be working late into the night on Thursday.

I gotta say that I agree with you on the trying to stay a couple of days to make the cost worth it, but I found that since I became a father I never have a couple of days. I started doing these crazy day trips due to that.

I will be going to Eagle Valley as soon as my schedule allows. Maybe I'll get lucky next week [cool].

Oh yeah, I got offers to fish so the boat is already full. I'll ask again next time I go fishing.

Have a nice day,

No need to apologize, the misunderstanding was mine. Since Eagle Valley and Echo were in the same sentence I thought you meant Echo Canyon. My bad.

But I still wouldn't mind going to Echo Bay on Friday. Makes it that much easier. I wanted to fish that area but I've been unable to find a launch site for kayaking. I don't like to launch from a busy boat launch. I prefer to find a nice spot I can park my car on the shoreline and then launch from there. And to launch from the shoreline at Echo Bay would require carrying the kayak some distance. I am working on a cart for the kayak so I can haul it somewhere to launch without using the boat launch.

Anyway, I still would like to tag along with you. I PM'd you my phone number.
