Let the speculation begin!

So... anyone in the Island Park area want to weigh-in regarding the amount of ice still on the lake?

It's been a snowy cold winter/spring. Does anyone have a gut feeling about when the ice is going to come off?

Let the games begin! Ha. [Wink]

And, lest there be any confusion... I'm talking about Henry's Lake and the upcoming Memorial Day opener circus!

I went past there last weekend. It looked completely capped over and there was still a lot of snow on the ground. I do think that it will break up, but it will probably be within a few days of the opener. The fish will be against the bank. I wouldn't get involved with the whole big crowd thing, but it really is a great opportunity to get the kids into some big fish that they otherwise would not be able to catch.

From what I hear, Windriver has it pretty much dead on! It could be even a little later. Some big fish are going to be caught, so, I am hoping that it is even later than Opening Day.

Just drove by it yesterday on my way home from MT. Still looked like it was capped in ice as far as I could see. I am hoping to get out the weekend after the big opener and miss the crazy people on the shore.

Then again everyone is always wanting a longer ice season on Henry's...Maybe opeing day will not be as bad if it requires an auger and ice gear!
