ririe?
#1
Just curious if anyone knows if there are enough walleye to bother fishing for in ririe? Also does anyone on here fish for the kokes in the summer. I plan on doing some fishing there this summer and would love a little advice thanks

I don't fish ririe my self. But I do chase walleye in Salmon dam. If I were you and had a boat to fish in I would troll with a Small crawdad plugs like the rebel. Make sure you have several different colors. Another plug is the small Rapala jointed perch. I am thinking that a Rapala that is jointed and looks like a Koke would work too. I have the best luck with the Crawdad and perch. A crawler harness works well too. In Late June and July I troll shallow like 6 foot or less. I do change depths is the depth I am running is not working out. I want the plug to bounce the rocks once and a while. If you don't hang up once and a while your not running the plug right. I would look for sloping rock banks, and I mean big rocks. They can be very steep but I have never had great luck with sharp cliffs or drops. They like to hide behind large rocks and ambush the prey. Good luck with them. Ron

Excellent advice Ron. Might I add in early morning, just before and at day break find shorline where sand and rocks converge and throw firetiger Shadraps to the shore and swim them back to you
