I am thinking of coming to Carpapalooza next Saturday and wondered if anyone has any advice on camping out the night before.
I'll be brining three kids with me. Am I biting off more than I can chew?

Bring your bug spray. And maybe buy those face nets for the kids.
You can sit there and tell them over and over that the bugs flying around them are mouthless midges that won't bite, but they don't care. It still drives them nuts.

I'm not sure where you are planning on going but Willard has lots of carp but as with Lincoln you had better bring bug spray. I posted a week or so ago to another member: go out the north marina, go north past the beach, around the next corner in the shallows. There were thousands of them. I was out there yesterday but did not go to that area, so I cannot give you a recent report. You can probably walk to them if you do not have a boat. You would have to walk through the thicket past the beach.

The campground is nice and the restrooms are clean. There is also a nice covered area with picnic tables. We stayed there 2 weekends ago and there were no bugs at the time. They might be out now though. The kids should have a good time there!
