32 foot rise in water level?
#1
While cranking around the newly opened Boulder Harbor a few days back. I ran into a guy who mentioned something about them adding lots of water to the lake, raising it by 32 feet. I hear that kind of stuff all the time, but his number was so specific lol. I'm was thinking some of you have heard, but I just now looked it up. I found an article that says 32 feet by February.

I wonder if that will really happen and if fishing would improve?

thats what i heard too. they say its like "shooting fish in a barrel" i personaly would like to have access to deeper water closer to shore.

also if they say 32ft by feb how much difference will it make, seeing is we lose a foot a week on average in the hot summer months.

yiiiip it'll be nice having the lake be higher, its been pretty Sad seein it get so low over the years - BUT! Since I heard the same talk about the extra 32 feet, I've been dreading seeing my favorite fishing spots be sunken. I've got so many great little places along the shore that I've gotten attached to that'll be gone.

When I fishing a couple days ago at 33 Hole I noticed the water was coming up and there was a ton of trash right near the water line. Some of the trash is already going under, and lots more to come. There is alot of trash at 33 Hole and i'm sure every place else that people shore fish. Its all going to go under in the weeks and months to come.

I would have filled a bag or two last time but I didn't have any left. I think i'm going to go down there today and fish a for a couple morning hours. Ill fill a couple bags probably.

Its crazy how messy people are, and it sucks that the rising water level is going to sink alot of the trash. It doesn't look like there was any effort made by the higher ups to have any of the shoreline cleaned, before the water started rising? At least some of the hot spots, 33 Hole is probably the worst. Someone needs to clean that place lol, I'll try a little bit today. The trash is like 60% beer bottles.

If anyone has a favorite place they want to clean up, I'll help.
