Hello all,
I stumbled upon this site a few days ago and have been reading nonstop ever since. Finally decided to join. Hoping that I can get some good tips on fishing some new waters.
With rivers being high and dirty has anyone had luck on any of the lakes in the southeastern/eastern region?

Welcome! Henry's Lake is producing fish if you don't mind the crowds and you don't even need a reel! You can just tie on a 5ft leader to a stick, the cutthroat are spawing in the shallows near the state marina, county boat dock and hatchery. A lot of people have done well the last weekend so give it a try. The Montana lakes that are close are also producing well right now so if you would rather not have the crowds and have a boat-I would recommend that direction.[cool]

The last I have heard on the bass and panfish in the southeast, is that the cold snap we had has slowed things down, but the recently stocked trout are willing.

I have read that Henry's has been producing lots of fish, but I can't handle the crowds. I haven't fished in Montana at all really. I do have a boat but it's in the shop right now. Is there any decent shore fishing that direction?
Thanks to all for the welcome.

some bank fishing has been good on Hebgan Lake -north shore and near the inlet on east side. No docks so you won't have to listen again to the long winded debate. The cliffs on Henry's produced good bank fishing on Monday for a few guys I spoke with and no crowds!
