The like button is part of a full bft/facebook integration we are working on, users will be able to log in to bft using their facebook account as a first time register. When they like articles, posts, or video it will post to their facebook wall. Once we work out all the bugs we will be posting a whole bunch of documentation about how to use the new features.
Existing BFT members DO NOT HAVE TO LINK THEIR FACEBOOK ACCOUNT (and won't ever have to if they don't want) but can if they want by going to thier profile page and clicking the link at the top that say's "Facebook Connect" http://www.bigfishtackle.com/...ty.cgi?do=user_home. Whats there now is more of a test version it will be way more obvious when completed.
In the short period of time this has been live it has drawn in a lot of members from people posting "Likes" to thier facebook wall.
Still a long way to go on this but wanted to keep you guys in the loop! I will post more as we bring things online and work out the bugs!
P.S. User profile pages will also be getting a lot more features and some really cool stuff!!
