lake mead 5/31/11

[cool]Went out at o'dark thirty to fish south of 33 hole. First cast from the tube and fish on. A dink striper on the beetlespin. Within the next ten minutes I had four more dinks on the beetlespin. I kicked around to another cove and got another dink..same lure. Kicked around to several more coves with no luck. I always seem to find something when out on the lake and this was no exception. While kicking to the back of a cove I found a seadoo. I yell to see if anyone is around with no response. It is tied off to a stake. I go out of the cove to land the tube and hike to the other side to see if anyone is wandering around. Still no one responding. I call the rangers about an abandoned seadoo. They say they will check it out. Kind of wierd. I head back in just as the wind picks up big time. Total six fish and one seadoo.

The Seadoo would have been a keeper!

Actually I hate jetskis,-noisy stinkpots that they are. And the riders are usually jerks-its dirt bike riding on water.

Not quite the same size as you were getting at Hemmenway earlier in the year. Let's hope they get bigger by next month.

That beetlespin has become your go to bait, I guess I'm going to have to try those a little bit more this year.
