Daniels Res. Anyone??

Just going to head up on Friday morn. I haven't been up this year. I was hoping someone has recently been up to Daniels or Deep Creek. I wanted to take a 70 yr old guy up on some pontoon boats and catch a few on the fly rods. Any news would be great. If that isn't any good we might head over to Deep Creek instead. Headed up there myself Friday. Heard it was a little slower than usual but catching a few. Hopefully the warmer weather will turn things up. I am taking the trailer up and will be camping at the South end of the lake. Stop by for a Coke.

fished up there the 17th through the 25th and it was good. be careful at deep creek. the water was spilling over part of the dam, i wouldent go past it in anything less then a truck

Deep Creek was excellent this past weekend. I caught 63 bows on Saturday and 32 on Sunday. Fished about four hours each day. I was trolling. I caught most on a small crank bait, but also got quite a few dragging a black and purple wooley bugger. I even hooked up on a nice cutthroat. The water was spilling over the top, but it was only about 8 inches deep and just a short spot of maybe 15 feet.

Were most of the fish planters you caught. I noticed several reservoirs had been stocked with 10 inchers in May?

We just got thoroughly skunked at Daniels this afternoon.

Some hits, but we didn't land a thing! It was a great afternoon anyway the weather was nice, and we got to visit a bit with FlyGoddess and Mojorizing.

I only speak for myself, but I don't think Daniels has been fishing "normally". Maybe the cooler wet weather we have been having has slowed the bite, I don't know. I sometimes get stuck in a rut on how and where I always fish. It's hard to change enough to find something that works. Hopefully stellar fishing is ahead of us.

I've got to agree that I get stuck in a rut too on where I go. I also need to get out more now that the weather is granting us a few days of niceness.
