Hey everyone I am taking a trip up to woodhead this coming weekend and want to find out if anyone is willing to share some good spots to catch some Cats... I have only been to that end of Brownlee once. I do hear that there are more catfish there though... Any advice or info would be great

most of the catfish are in the upper end. cutbait is the best. worms are second. never had good luck with stinkbait. we catch cats on bass stuff they regularly.

the brownlee arm which is the first water you can see on the way too woodhead is o.k. either in the large shallow bay that you can access from the ramp parking or the very back of the arm. as well all the coves on the way too the dam hold a few cats as well. as stated above many are caught on accident

Ok I know where you are talking... We have always done ok at steck with smelly chicken livers ... The worms and cutbait never have worked to well there ..i will make sure to grab some worms... Do you think the far end of the arm is better or closer to the res.... We are just fishing from the bank

ive spent a few full nights catfishing there and hands down cutbait outfished everything . 5 to 15 miles below steck out of a boat, i know you are banking it, we caught over 30/ night with them anywhere from 2 to 18lbs. average is 3-5 .
