I got a Job tagging Catfish for the F&G

[cool][#0000ff]Great report. Thanks for sharing.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]I have also participated in quite a few volunteer projects with fisheries departments around the country. Always fun and enlightening to observe the process and to get in on sampling and recording. Not as much fun to clean out gill nets. Especially in cold temps when you need bare fingers to get the job done.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Congrats on being able to get enough fish to complete you tagging allotment. Glad you were able to "hook up" with Michael. I have been trying to work out a trip back up to Salmon Falls for the last three years to be able to share some water with him. Maybe someday.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Oh, about the basket. I think everybody who uses a basket finds out that fish take "Houdini" classes in their schools. They dive into the bottom of the basket and semi pop the bottom lid open. Then they put their nose in the gap and wiggle out. That is why the first thing I do when setting up a new fish basket is to tie it closed...with some heavy fishing line or a couple of small zip ties.[/#0000ff]
