Lowell Catfish?

Taking my grandson out to Lowell Friday for his first ever fishing trip. Want to try hitting some cat. First time I will ever fish Lowell also. I will be using my boat. Any advice on where to locate cats will help?

access #1 on shoreline drive and up by the area where the new york canal comes in is where i have been told to fish. i saw some guys catching them right by the ramp at access #1. i think they are preety much spread out. good luck !

Watched a bunch of people catching them of the caldwell dam last night. I think if u just anchor up anywhere out there you should catch them. good luck!
