Yup, lots of mini-lobsters. If you put your trap in the right spot it comes up pretty full. If you drop in the wrong spot . . . which is most of the lake it's like a Crawfish desert!

I've also seen many family's in the evening fishing off the docks w/ a piece of bacon on a hook. They'll drop it to the bottom, wait 30 seconds to a minute then reel in. The buggers often won't let go of it.

I've caught crawdads from the blacktail dock area and the Juniper dock area. I've used a trap with raw chicken, bacon ends, canned cat food, and an onion in different combinations. Bacon ends on kite string or a worm on a hook, as you pull it up be prepared to get a net under the bait because they will let go when they get close enough to the surface. Or just a long handled net and a flashlight, but the water has to be pretty clear.

I think it might be surprising to people how often they have a crawdad nibbling a worm and think they have a fish, then jerk it out of their claws when they try to set the hook.
