BIRCH CREEK
#1
Hey guys, me and a friend made a trip up to birch creek for a saturday of fishing. All told we got 168 trout on dry flies. Man i had a blast catching small brookies on dry flys. Made me feel like i was in the mountain streams in PA catching native brookies, other than the fact that there werent any trees.(still getting used to this awesome bonus of having space to cast) anyways all of mine came on a patriot and my friends came on a parachute adams, renegade, and caddis. What a great day! We fished from the bridge at Kaufman down about 300 yards after the wooden bridge by the ladder to get over the fence parking area. called up the old man back in PA and rubbed it in, not sure if he believed me haha.

the first pic is me hooking up with trout #100 for the day

well done, have had many a day up there like that! That used to be our favorite stretch of water out there. Little word of advice for birch ........Fish it up not down and you will hit that 300 fish goal pretty easily. My pa has fished that for 50 years and done very well, 2 years ago I convince him to fish it up instead of down and he couldn't believe how many more fish he would catch and not spook out of the holes.
