Well got a late start took a good friend his son and my daughter out.. Only 3 or 4 boats out at the north marina. We headed to freeway bay and was trolling really slow maybe 1.5 to 2 mph water was close to glass. Caught first fish about 9:45 a 15" eye on a silver rattle trap then my friends boy hooked into a big fish that he thought was a wiper but it didn't fight like one so I figured a big Waldo and it was a 23" walleye boy was we all pumped.. It was also on a 2" rattle trap a few min latter I picked up another small walleye on a bottom bouncer and worm.. But the bugs started to get bad so we kicked the speed up to about 4.5 mph and headed in to the marina. Just outside of the marina my friend hooked a wiper maybe 5 pounds great fight but we wanted to get off the lake and head to newton BAD IDEA! Wish we would have stayed on Willard...... I will try and post photos...
