Looking for advice still for the end of July. What area would best suit a good camping/fly fishing experience and has decent access to the river/s? White River or the Taylor river Almont area?
Thanks,
Justin pm if necessary

Justin-
There are lots of rivers and creeks with good access in the Taylor River/Taylor Park area, including the Taylor, East, and Gunnison. And, of course there is the famous Hog Trough below Taylor Park Res. The Taylor River above the reservoir has lots of easy access and there are miles and miles of creeks in that area, and primitive camping. Most, if not all, should be very fishable by the end of July. I love that area, although I haven't fished it much in recent years.
You should also be able to take Taylor Res. pike on the fly then, if you are interested. It has a number of fish in the 20 lb. and up class.
I am not as familiar with the White River area, as noted in your other thread.

Thanks again Don. I'm starting to feel like there's better access in the Taylor area.

I think that's probably an accurate assessment.
