So I've got an opportunity to buy a 9' Colorado pontoon for $250. I know the guy well and he bought it 2 or 3 years ago from Costco for $289, he has never even opened the box. I know these are kinda disposable cheap pontoons, but I am fairly easy on my fishing equipment and would only use it a handful of times each summer. So is it worth $250? I don't know much about pontoons at all.

I haven't used one but from what I have seen I am not that wild about them. I have seen better deals on better rides. Ron

I have had mine since 2007. Yes they are cheap. I wouldn't call them throw away pontoons though. Classic Accessories has great customer service and warranty and if anything is wrong with it, they will honor it. I have gotten new pontoons and had to fix a few welds. The trolling motor, fish finder, gear, and I get pretty close to the weight limits of the boat and it is still going strong. If it is only $250, you won't be out much. Try it out before you buy of course.

I have seen way better pontoons on craigslist of KSL for the same or cheaper.
I really don't like them but like you say if you are only using it a few times a summer it might not matter.
I am on my 14th summer with my bucks bags Southfork.
