A newer fly fishing company has a good deal on beads and cones .. but they offer the cones as slotted cones.. .has anyone ever used slotted cones and if so what are the advantages or diSadvantages of them...

I have not...I have the slotted beads. They allow you to get the thread way up in there and are great for down eye hooks, but I don't care for them much.

sis you know who Im talking about on this.. and was just wondering about them ... for whatever reason I have it in my feeble brain that they would have a tendency to fall or pop off the hook... :-)
