Mirror lake highway
#1
Hiked back to hoover lake saterday, nice hike. Caught alot of nice brookies, but I wanted a grayling. Then we went to pass lake and racked up on the little planter rainbows, easy to catch and make a great shore lunch. But we wanted to catch something bigger so we tried the upper provo. Caught alot of small cutthroats and a few decent brookes and rainbows. Nothing big but I had a blast and the country is beautiful up there. good fishing, Matt

I am looking to go up later this week to scout for elk hunting up Mirror Lake. I will probably fish a little too up in Murdock area. What were you using while fishing up in Mirror lake HWY???

I caught a few off #2 panther martins. My buddy got a few nice ones on 1 1/2 inch white grubs. But the best bait for sure in the lakes is power bait. Theres alot of farm rainbows, and they love the stuff. We got alot of cuts out of the upper provo floating night crawlers down holes. Just not any with size. I didnt see any elk this trip but my wife saw a nice bull elk over labor day weekend near pass lake. Good luck if you get out there, its beautiful country and even just tromping around in the woods will make the trip worth it. By the way I heard on the news two ladies from fla. are lost out by crystal lake, no cold weather gear or extra food and water. All we can do is pray but the temps really drop up there at night. Good fishing, Matt

I am going to keep my eyes open for the Florida people. I hope they are in some other place instead of being lost. I think it is interesting, there maps, food, water and gear is still in there rental car[crazy]. I am looking to going more toward Murdock basin!!! But thanks for the update!!!

It's possible that they were abducted or attacked or something like that before they ever even hit the trail. Someone could have murdered or kidnapped them. Hopefully not, but you never know. The fact that all their stuff is still in the car points to that I think.
