Does Treasureton still exist?

Headed up to the Preston area for girls camp this week. Thought I'd throw the pontoon in and drown a fly when I'm done. Was thinking about Treasureton, but have not heard much from that pond in along time. Any recent reports? Is it worth trying, if not any suggestions in the area? I don't keep fish, so don't worry about the population dropping any. Thanks in advance for any and all help[]

Are you camping at Treasureton?

I haven't heard anything on it, neither good or bad. It should be ok. Let us know how you do. You might try to contact any sports stores in Preston or Logan they will probably know.

Was up there over Memorial Day Weekend. Fished for about 3 hours one day before the rain and wind came up. Hooked into one and lost it, my nephew had no luck. Talked to a couple of guys in a boat and they said they had been out on the resevoir most of the day and had caught a couple. Used to be my favorite place to go when I lived down that way, now I am closer to Henry's. Dont know if this helps.

If I remeber right, it had a pretty bad winter kill two years ago. I would think as fast as they grow in there, some fat 15-17 inch bow would be common.

No, we are camping along the Bear River somewhere. Not exactly sure where until we get there.

If Treasureton doesn't look good you are just about as close to a bunch of others.

Foster has had good reports on trout.
Condie - catch and release bass
Glendale - trout, bass etc - I don't know how it is doing.
Lamont - trout, bluegill
Johnson - trout & minature bluegill

If you are on the Bear R. in the Narrows below Oneida, then fish it. Good trout, small mouth, and walleyes.

Maybe three or four weeks ago my neighbor who is a really hardcore fly fisherman told me that he was knocking them dead on damsel fly nymphs. He told me that they averaged 18-23". That was definitely the most positive thing I'd heard since the winter kill. I never made it up because school, work and bass fishing got in the way, but I'd imagine they're still hitting. I'm still seeing a lot of damsels coming off at the bass ponds.
