Go North, the wash is dead
#1
We fished the NSC Tournament this weekend. The fishing was dead at Vegas wash area. We head thru the narrows near middle point but that was fishless too. Ended up by Echo for the nite bite. Started chumming around 5pm and were putting fish on ice around 6ish.

Around 7:30 the bite was wide open and ever drop got bit. Around 10pm the the catfish bite was kicking off as well (50+ C & R). Continued the chum slick and kept the bite going until 1am when it slowed a little. After 3am the bite was off, so we took a nap then headed to the weigh-in. We kept 60+ and tossed back 140+ = 200 Stripers.

Weighed in 4 fish 9.4, Sister had 12.4 and brother-in-law had 12.7 and took 3rd place.

We fished in about 80ft and fish were at 40ft. The stripers were mostly 18"-20" some up to 24" We actually had catfish swimming at the surface around the boat.

30 pounds of chum and 40 pounds of bait, ran out of bait.

Watch our site for results and pictures soon.

Wow that's alot of bait [cool] sounds like a killer trip. Thanks for posting that up. I wonder if one could get those kind of numbers by using the same chum a ton technique from shore? I hear stewarts point calling my name lol
