LINCOLN, Neb. - There are five new entries in the state fishing record book certified by the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission this summer.
-- Josh Adamson of Alliance set an archery record with a 3-pound, 7-ounce European rudd. He took it in Box Butte Reservoir in Dawes County on May 6.
-- Mark Shafer of Alliance set a surface spearfishing record with a 25-pound, 10-ounce common carp. He took it in Box Butte Reservoir on May 8.
-- Michael Holly of Belden set an archery record with a 79-pound, 6-ounce bighead carp. He took it in the Missouri River in Cedar County on May 10.
-- James M. Watson of Omaha set an archery record with a 38-pound, 10-ounce silver carp. He took it in a Sarpy County sandpit on May 23.
-- Tyler Ciurej of Bellevue set a hook-and-line record with a 4-pound, 3-ounce goldfish. He took it on a hot dog in Halleck Park Lake in Sarpy County on June 7.
