New F & G Website: Stocking info?
#1
I see the F & G have a new website.

I can't find the link to the fish stocking info. Can someone provide a link?

Thanks!

I'm pretty sure it doesn't exist. I found a stocking schedule for July on the fishing reports page but other than that, nada.

Yep, it looks like they have axed the historical fish stocking record from the site. I am sure that many of us on this forum used the historical stocking records to plan our fishing trips for the year. The current month's stocking schedule is meaningless to me - I have no desire to catch 6" planters. I have already sent my complaint to F&G and would urge everyone else on this forum who used the historical records to do the same. I hope they soon realize they have made a big oops and correct it!

OK, thanks for validating what I was seeing as well.

If this is in fact a permanent change and not a temporary glitch, I will be sending a scathing complaint as well.

This report is critical to trip planning.

Who's going to hike into a high mountain lake without knowing there's fish there??

I was looking at the new site for the state map showing all the game management units. I never found it. I sent a polite email, I'll save the scathing one for later. But so far, no response.

If you go to the fishing main page then at the very bottom go to Idaho fish planner and you can search specific waters and you can get a five year past stocking report. Not as user friendly as before. http://fishandgame.idaho.gov/ifwis/fishingPlanner/

I'd place a bet that they had a deadline to get the new site up and the fish stocking info just didn't jive well with the new format. It's likely that it'll come out when they get the bugs worked out of it.
