Strike

Hi there, just found this website and been enjoying the post on here, found some pretty interesting things. Any way my question is has anyone been to Strike lately for Crappie? I was thinking about heading there Saturday but haven't heard any reports good or bad. Any info would be appreciated, will post up a report when I get back. Thanks

Normally there is a lot of chatter about CJ, but it sure has been quiet this summer except for the bass fishermen, who seem to be doing well. Just wanted to welcome you to the site, and hope to hear from you in the future. Mike

welcome to the site, and i have to agree with mike. the lack of reports indicates to me that there's very little to report on in terms of what's going on at strike. that being said, we all know that "catching" can be a fickle goal and as such don't miss an opportunity to give it a try. hopefully you'll have a successful trip but at least you can enjoy getting out.

I have fished strike every weekend for the last 2 months. I fish for bass early then try to find the crappy. Bass has been good but i cannot fin the perch or crappie this year. I think i have caught 20 crappie this year. They were some good sized and i released all of them. It is getting late for them now compared to years passed. There are still people finding small schools but no me yet. I think it is an off year for them.
