[#000050]I'm going to park the big boat and get the pontoon out for some higher, cooler lake fishing.[/#000050]
[#000050]I'm heading to Moon Lake next Saturday early morning and hope that someone could PM me with tackle and tactics advice. It's been many years since I was up there.[/#000050]

Had friends that went up there three weeks ago and did ok out by the mouth of the river on the north end. power bait i guess. If you have a fish finder look for the splake stacked up in 25-40' water and use a white tub jig and a piece of chub meat,Vertical jigged. it works at fish lake don't know why it wouldn't work there? and if you want to troll use the gold with red dots jakes I think it is, it looks like a little money clip. that's bread and butter up there and they sell and recommend them at the lodge for tolling, Little fish and an occasional koke also on them.
good luck!

No problem. the state record splake came out of moon lake. Not to get your hopes up but I don't think many people try to target them? every time up there I just fished out of a canoe so don't really know where to point you. I caught a few nice ones striaght out from the ramp on the sandy beach. on the white jig with chub meat. fishing vertical.
Good luck to you.
