Nice video. It really looks like you have a halibut rather than a catfish.

Great stuff.
With two poles and especially when you get to fish on, do you get the tangled when you are trying to land them? I know an anchor can be a problem, just wondering if the second pole is an issue too.

I'm curious as to what weight line you use for catfish with that ultra light rod??

I don't have that much trouble with cats tangling with two rods. Most of the time once I get the second hook set that cat settles down just like in the video. I also kick away from the other fish so I am not right over it. Ron

I keep 4 pound on that rod. I put a snap swivel on the end of the 4 pound but I use a 10 pound leader. They sometimes run me into the rocks so I use the heavier line for abrasion resistance. Ron

good clean american fun, good job,you set a fine example of how its done, ever have a problem with the reel handle spinning backwards to fast, ever get a backlass from fish running to hard..I just set the drag loose or however..

My reels don't turn backwards unless I set them to do it. I NEVER set the reel to go backwards. I just adjust the drag and let them pull. Ron

Cool just checking, wouldn't want anything to happen to that light action combo of yours.I too enjoy light action,I hear in some places people fish with the handle set to spin back.I'll try to get more details,Alfred was the one telling me something about this.

good stuff,to bad there isn't a way to put some tension on the anti reverse, that way you could control the rate in which the handle spins.
