Bear Lake boat ramps
#1
I understand that the ramp at Cisco Beach is unusable. Anyone know of a ramp in the Cisco Beach area that is closer than first point? I fished yesterday and picked up a couple good fish, ten lb mac and eleven lb cutt. Both went back in. It was a kind of a long haul to Cisco Beach with my 30 hp from first point. Headed back tomorrow by myself if anyone would like to join me.

Congrats on the big catch my friend of the north. I am sure those big fish fight way harder than the fish of Mantua......if only the drive were not so far away....we'd be all over that offer. Thanks for posting. See you sunday at Mantua maybe.

Wahoo CvFisher! Way to hook into some Lakers again. I have never fished Bear Lake so I cannot comment on the ramps and what not. I sure am glad to see you are hooking into the Bear Lake fish again and even felt like reporting it.

Come on now I am depending on you to get me my 1st Lake trout. Wish we could join you but that is one hell of a drive for a day trip plus I have to work like 5 days a week now. [:/]

We're thinking of heading that way this weekend. Where can you launch from on the Utah side besides the State Park Marina?

Well you can launch at first point, or Rainbow Cove, both on the east side. Check out the map on Pugstones website.

I actually launched from the East side this morning, just dropped in @ Cisco easily, but depending on where you are heading, that might be a bit of a jaunt.

I'd suggest you check in with BearLakeFishGuy - if anyone knows he does. He lives up there and fishes it all the time.

But in the meantime - here's a map if that helps any. I think if you check the Utah DNR/Wildlife site you might be able to get current reports on the launches.
I know it's been a HIGH water year up there. Wonder if it'll freeze again this winter?!
