We fished Strike today. Got on the water at about 8 AM, fished till about noon. Right away, I got a hit on a white pearl fluke (nose hooked and weightless [
]). As soon as it hit the water, it came flying back out with about a 12 inch bass behind it. And that was our only action all morning.
I'm a little dumbfounded. We tried throwing crank baits, jerk baits, spinner baits, jigs, and a myriad of soft plastics both texas rigged and drop shot with no success. We talked to a few other boats who had similar results. The only guy who reported any real success, did so on a wacky rigged worm.
So I guess the only tip I can provide is: don't fish with me! [
] All in all it was a nice day though. Good company and nice weather made it a fun outing.
