Willard Waleye
#1
Don't usually post much but thought you might get a kick ot of this as I did.

I have caught Waleye from Willard before, don't know for sure how many, but could probably count them on one hand.

Went out a couple mornings ago to fish for some Cats, caught one right off. Pretty sure I had a Wiper on but that didn't last long. Got some more bites but they just would not take it good. I started getting some short bites, you know, just little pecks. Thought it might be Perch ( I have caught them before) so I took the rod in hand, in the ready position. Next bite I set the hook. I could feel something was there, Well I reeled it in and what the heck? I had to look at it for a few minutes to decide what it was. I determined it was a Waleye, every bit of 4". I fowl hooked the poor thing.

Well thats my story. Got no pictures. Got no witness.

Really Yellow Perch at Willard! I cant wait to catch one. I love the taste of those fish! Anyways glad to hear that you did not get skunked at the bay....that place has the tendency to do that to people. Considering my twin and I are gonna camp there this weekend I am glad to hear that the fish are bitting again. Thanks for your post. Happy Catching out there r2u2.
