Upland hunting in the north
#1
Just hoping some of you guys in the north part of the state mught be able to point me in the right direction to hunt some huns and/ or chukars up in northern utah. I live in Utah county and hunt enough down here, and I am told I need to hit up the northern region to find some huns. They would be my primary target, as I can find those devilish chukars down this way (though I can't get enough of those beasts). Any help would be greatly appreciated, since it will be a bit of a long trip for me. Also, I would not be opposed to some company hunting up that way either. I have a couple dogs (a brittany and a lab), and feel the more the merrier (less chance of birds slipping out on you and can cover more area effectively).

I have seen chuckers in the saw tooth while bow hunting and have been told Grouse creek is good for huns. Have not hunted either. Grouse can be good in the saw tooth. hope that helps a little.

Thanks for the info. The sawtooths are in Idaho, correct? Or is there something I am not able to find in Utah. Sorry I am not familiar with the area.

The problem with the little hunny bunns is that they like grain fields. Most of the stuff up north is gonna be unaccessible to most guys. Utah's tresspass laws are a little backwards on this one. Remember if it is cultivated, it is considered posted.

The sawtooth range is in Utah, up by Park Valley/Grouse creek. It does border Idaho.

Far north western corner of Utah. Know were you are when you hunt the area. I recieved a ticket hunting bunnies in Idaho when I thought I was still in Utah.
