Sure hope that is an air cooled engine or you just fried your impeller[:/].
It sounds like from what you are saying the problem has worked its way out, is that true?

No worries,all is good, aircooled,I think up to 3hp is aircooled,this motor can also be enjoyed by our newer generation of fishermen since my motor is both old and new.I fixed the snapper pic,my best catch so far with my new motor.I look forward to living a long happy life with my new old motors.I do sometimes run it in a bucket or at least spray water on the shaft to keep the seal wet,thanks. Paulpro knows boating like Boknows baseball,also,One mans boat is another mans dream.Once the motor fixed its self from running a few times,I was finally able to give her the love and attention they deserves.
