So the vegaskid and myself decided to hit lake mohave this morning. we launched at cottonwood just as the sun was peakin over the mountains, and from the get go the bass were snappin! Are bass mojo was in full effect and we were landing keeper after keeper. The water level is pretty low down there, we were a bit surprised to see it like that.. to bad we werent in that tournament that was goin on out there today, we would have done some damage. 30+ fish day for us today, most were decent size and most of the fish we caught were smallies with a few LmB in the mix, vegaskid took home the big bass of the day with a 3lb and something oz smallie, im sure he will clarify. every bass was C&R safely.. here are a few pics of my catch today and a pic I took of vegaskid, im sure he will post a better pic of his toad smallie. Enjoy!

Yeah, Mojave was great. Felt a little like August and not October. We caught fish at every one of our spots. We probably had a 10 pound bag. The water is about 5-6' down and all the awesome shorline cover everwhere out there is gone. Not sure why they are holding back so much water.

I asked just that at willow because the river was down "7 ft" They said it's common "every fall through winter" because the snow pack freezes on the Rockies... So while the snow is frozen they don't release as much and it gives them time to do maintenance at cottonwood etc...

So is the Park Entrance Station now collecting fees? Last time I was out there, it was still under construction.
When I to Six Mile Cove it was so crowded that I gave it up and ended back at Hemingway. It was a three-day weekend (don't remember which one). I hate crowds so I find fall time so refreshing without all the jetskis and ski boater jerks churning up the water.

Nice work. This is the 1st report I have seen on Mohave. I used to Windsurf there every Thanksgiving with other fellow Utah windsurfers years ago. God that place either blew me off the water or was completely wind-less. During the wind-less times I should have fished it a little bit. Great to hear I could have saved myself from some boring hours by catching bass and such. Always next time right?
