CANYON LAKE: Water gin clear; 76 degrees; 908.48':
Largemouth are good along 5'-12' breaklines in stumps and
standing timber pitching a 4" smoke/red flake Snap Back tube
(www.terminatorlures.com), watermelon/red Bush Pig
(www.cremelure.com) or working a 3" plastic swim bait
(www.canyonlakefishing.com) down sloping points into 20'
of water.
Smallmouth are fair to 3 lbs. along steep bluff banklines in
10'-20' on a split shot rigged pumpkinseed Sliding Weight
Finesse Craw Fish(www.canyonlakefishing.com), 3" rootbeer
grubs and white 4" Whacky Stick. Grub's, Whacky Sticks worms and all soft plastics with just a drop of Pro's Soft Bait Glue (www.prosoftbaitglue.com).
Stripers are slow but definately improving in 70'-90' of water on Hyper Striper jigs (www.kgenterprise.com) and large swim baits or tightling live perch. Shallow/topwater action improves as the water temperature drops.
White Bass slow along the dam in 25' on white 3" grubs,
Frenzy crankbaits and best vertically jigging a 1/4 oz. Pirk Minnow.
Crappie are fair on minnows.
