Caney Fork Trout Fishery Meetings
#1
NASHVILLE, TN—Tennessee anglers will get a chance to comment on a plan to create an 18-inch minimum length limit and a two-fish bag limit for brown trout on the Caney Fork River during one of two upcoming meetings. The proposed changes are aimed at protecting brown trout and allowing more browns to reach older age classes.

Meeting dates, times and locations include:
October 6, 7 p.m.; TWRA Region 2 building, 5105 Edmondson Pike, Nashville; in the Ellington Agricultural Center
October 7, 7 p.m.; Smithville Community Center in City Hall, 104 E. Main St., Smithville.

Each meeting will include a brief presentation of the current status of the Caney Fork River fishery, an explanation of the proposed regulations, and time for questions and comments.
