Fished around Mocccasin Bend most of the day and managed 27 fish. One smallmouth about 2lbs, 4 largemouth 2 just over 4lbs, one catfish (didn't weigh) didn't want to get slimed, and 21 spots. A lot of nice sized spots between 1 1/2 lbs and 2 1/2 lbs. I fished from 9:30 until 4:00 and the action was pretty steady until about 2:30 when they slowed the water down to almost nothing. All fish caught on a jig, a yum dinger, and a spinner bait. Mostly yum dinger. For some reason I couldn't get any to hit a crankbait or topwater. I saw no fish schooling. Almost all fish came in at least 12 ft of water. I would have thought they would be more shallow. I fished a few pockets and creeks without the first bite. Did anyone do any good up on the chick?
