started around noon above the creek point. caught one stripe on a 2.5. I tried heavy swimbaits and carolina-rigged flukes in the current break with no success. Thought I might try my luck with swimbaits on the wing wall and then I thought again when I discovered the flood gates were open. I picked up a small LM on the carolina at the rip rap jetty and then went back down river. Pignjig, silver buddy, crankbait, heavy SB -- nada. Guy at the boat ramp caught a 4lber, and I watched a guy on the bank pluck out two nice smallmouth on tubes as I floated by. When it comes to watching people catch smallmouth, I'm getting pretty good.
