This might be s stupid question but when does pineview usually have enough ice to fish? I live in evanston and don't really watch it ice over so I am not sure of its time to ice. Thanks for the help

[cool][#0000ff]Different every year...depending on weather (cold), water levels and other factors. But, it is seldom really fishable until about the first of January. This year the water level is much higher than last year and last year it froze about mid December. It was also very cold the first week or two of December and the first ice was buried under a lot of snow...making the parking a problem more than the fishing.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]I tubed it about two weeks ago and the water temp was still in the mid 40's. Watch the reports and you will know when it's time.[/#0000ff]

Water temp is between 39-42 rigjt now... probably new yrs , its usually ready by then ( well the last 10 yrs anyway )
