Lake Mead Sunday!

Sunday, 12/4/11- Hit the water early, lanched at Boulder and made the run to Las Vegas Wash on cold dark water. Poked around the back of the wash, about ready to toss a net when stripers start feeding on the surface of the shallow water. Started tossing swimbaits and started hauling in stripers. Action was HOT!

Quickly fill the only ice chest on the boat with nice stripers. Surface actions ends, time to net shad. Fill the forward live well with two throws! Tons of bait about. Move out into the wash, anchor, and start putting shad to work.

Hot action continues on live shad. What do we do with them?

Stripers stacked in the aft live well. Caught some really nice stripers this morning. Back at Boulder around 10:30 am. What a great day to be on the water!

Shooooo......There were about eight other boats in the wash that morning doing the same thing. Everyone was hauling in fish. I wish I had this week off to fish because NOW is the time to be tossing a net! I'll be out there this weekend and there will be two ice chests on the boat.
