I am not an elk lover by any means, as you know. But, that is a nice looking elk. I love the geometry of the antlers. There is just something about those curvy long tines.

I don't know if it's the one you heard of, but It was indeed shot in the North Cache up near Bear Lake. That third tine is outstanding.
