Fished Cascade yesterday. Started out at Sugar Loaf boat ramp. I caught a couple, but the bite was slow and the guys I was with wanted to move. We moved up to Poison Creek. The fishing was very spotty, but we managed (kept) about 25-30 perch between 3 of us, and threw back several smaller ones and a small trout. About 1/2 the perch we kept were Jumbos, I think you could classify the other 1/2 as GIGANTORS. []
The thinest ice we found was around 6 inches and a nice, solid, blue ice. There are a lot of stress cracks, though, and several heaves in places around the lake.
P. S. Headed to Horsethief tomorrow. Expect a report on that around Sunday or so.
