Being an avid snowmobiler ice fishing has never been an option but since have no snow I decided might as well make the best of it. Bought a couple rods, spring bobbers, stands, paddle bugs, few joys, and one of the cheap Eskimo hand augers past night and headed to Henrys to see if I could yank out a decent brookie. Well the fishing gods took pity and while getting the holes drilled for my dad I saw the bobbers on the only rod I had out dive down and made the dash to set the hook before it spit the jig. Nick of time and it ended up being the nice brookie in the pic. We went cold for 3 hours before finding a spot they were biting and ended up pulling 5 cuttys and one decent 21 ish inch hybrid out. Was a good way to pass a snow less Saturday.
