Deer Creek in the Boat
#1
I hit the water at just after first light. Water temp 38.9. Took me about 45 min to find some perch in 52 to 54 ft. landed 14. Had to keep them all coming up from thet deep. Perch were 9 and 10 inches except for one at 8. Took til 10:30 to ctach 13 was hard to keep the boat over the school but had a blast. Perch died about then so I went looking deeper for them but one found one and caught the 14th one about 2:30 in 65 ft.

Out in the deep I caught 19 Rainbow up to 18" kept 4 for diner and breakfast. I like the eggs and fresh trout with tomaotes in the morning.

Way to go Jeff sounds like you had a great day on the Lake, I'm getting exited for a little ice fishing. Hope to see you on the hard deck again this year. [fishin]

I'm really glad to see the smallest perch 8". I do wonder how many there are though. When I first started fishing it was all the smaller trout, I think they must have planted a bunch this fall. Seems like a lot of area with no perch or at least that I could catch. I just remember the days at Deer Creek when it seemed like they we every where all over the place.
