Bear Lake Whitefish with BLFG and Adam Eakle
#1
[#000080]No, I didn’t get to go whitefish fishing with them but I did stay up and watch their show (KSL Outdoors with Adam Eakle) last night. It was definitely a good one again. (I’ll post a link to the show as soon as KSL makes one available.)

I just have a few comments and questions for Scott (BLFG);[/#000080]

First of all … sweet boat Scott. Man, you definitely did it up right this time!

Scott, it was mentioned that the white run is expected to last through the Christmas holiday. Are they still running right now?

That Road Runner that you showed ... was it one of Tube Dude’s creations?

As you were reeling in your lures, I seen that your would reel in very S-L-O-W … about 5 seconds per revolution. That’s the way I like to do it too.

Scott, I see that not only have you upgraded your boat, you have also upgraded your smoker. That Camp Chef Smoke Vault looks pretty sweet too.

When you smoke your whites, do you leave the “Y” bones in or do you remove them? I didn’t see anything about that in the video.

Anyway, another great show guys. Thanks

The whitefish are still running. They started a week later than normal and should taper off this coming week.

The roadrunner was a TD special. But the day we filmed that with Adam I caught 12 fish on 12 different lures. I switched lures, on purpose, after each fish. Either to a different color or totally different lure. Tubes, marabous, spoons, and roadrunners all worked.

Actually I never paid much attention to the way I fish the lures. I simply bounce them in along the bottom slowly and WATCH the line after I give it a bounce. Many of the whitefish hit it while it is sinking back to the bottom.

I do not remove the Y bones before smoking them. The Y bones dissolve while in the smoker.

I was too tired to watch the show last night due to a cold, but I'll be checking it out on the webpage later on.
